CHRIS BRITTEN ~ NEWS PAGE.Just coming down now after a very hectic and busy Xmas and New Year. For the first time ever, this year, I worked on Xmas Day night. Xmas day is usually spent with the family and my beautiful grandchild, Joshua. I also did Xmas Eve night at Beaconsfield Con Club in Heywood and Boxing day night for the Motor Caravan Club at Chipping in Lancs. My thanks go to those lovely audiences who made me so welcome. Also a big thanks to the fantastic crowd at The Trimple Club in Morecambe, where I appeared on New Years Eve. It was a superb night but I can honestly say that I have rarely been as exhausted as I was when I finished at that show, I really gave it my all. Also thanks to the staff at the Warners Leisure Hotels in the North where I have been appearing regularly. Always a terrific night at these Hotels with superb audiences who want to be entertained and have a laugh. Lastly, a big thank you to the superb agents who gave me work last year. In particular to Roger and Mark at After Dinner Speakers and Comedians who have helped me so much recently. I love working for you guys. Also to Neil at Gartson Ents, Paul Brideson, Mike Constantia and others too numerous to mention. An artistes working relationship with agents is very important and I work with some excellent ones. |
